    Ayup All...

What does everyone think of the new 'Scroll' on TORN that tells you where the first film ends, and the second Begins ? I don't want to spoil, But it'a as we said, ending at Six Flags... sorry for anyone who didn't wanna know, but... There's also a rumour that two ends at Smaugs Death, so as far as I can see, the missing out of 'The scouring of the shire' was an even bigger scandal. especially as 'Team PJs' excuse was to tell as much of the story as possible. (or HIS version of it). there's even an APP availiable for free that can tell you all about it too.

Be nice to hear your thoughts.

yeah not a fan of the ending point it seem to early to me, but they have to fit in their 4000 flashback scenes which are unnecessary and only dilute the actual hobbit story but it is what it is. I have totally disassociated the book from these films So I plan on enjoying them for what they are and nothing more. Now film 2 I say will not end with Smaug's death but with Bilbo making him mad right before he flies off to take care of laketown. Sowe will see Smaug in film 3... I'm also predicting DolGuldur will be an anti climax it will be in film 3 and the white council will show up and the necromancer will be gone at which point Gandalf will have a feeling he is needed by his burgler and take off without haste to find Bilbo at which time he arrives just in time to stop the men, and elves from fighting with the dwarves (almost like in the R&B cartoon version) seeing the approaching Goblin/Warg army and swooping in just in time to save the day. Thats my prediction anyways

Its way too early, but I hope this way they dont rush Rivendell, I would like a better look at it, and maybe meet that dratted Lindir chap singing Elven songs. Now we have to wait another year to get to Mirkwood/Thranduil and see Beorn, drat drat drat.

  4. I don't think anything is going to be rushed. I think every last detail will be stretched for as long as possible.

RA - I dont think so... WB are a money making business after all. They will be pushing him for releases asap and so will end up not filming everything he wants to... I am sure there is so much more in his head... sorry, from the books, that he wants to add.

    Maybe even a fourth film!

The Hobbit - Flashback to disaster at the Gladden Fields, plus something about entombing ring wraiths which will include a feature length flashback about the fall of Arnor.....

.... infact that needs to be a another film.

The Hobbit - The fall of Arnor flashback as told by Elrond who also remembers the 3 rings being dished out by Celebrimmor.. flashback to that and war in Eregion.... hold on... maybe enough here for the Hobbit 6...

  6. I know, right? He needs more films to tell more of the story that he has to make up from scratch to make fit into more films.

we need a tv series made by HBO and the BBC, at least 15 episodes to tell the tale right.

On that Julia we agree entriely- its the only sensible way to even begin to tackle LotR's as an adaptation for screen- make it for the small screen.

I couldnt care who is in it Stu- Im not one of those who follow big name actors about film to film- and in general I prefer to see actors in such things that I dont know as there is no baggage or preconceptions come with them.
The BBC could certainly provide a quality script- as they showed already in their radio adaptation- and its cast is sterling, some of the best in UK acting and thats not a bad standard.
HBO would provide extra funding and US distribution and get a European network involved (for cheaper filming in the eurozone).
and hire me to kick anyone in the balls who makes suggestions like "Legolas should surf down the stairs on his shield at this point"
