    3 weeks to go!!

Getting a little excited now even though I know there are going to be some horrible bits I know that I will take it as it comes and think about it later.

My other half did the Twilight marathon last week so I think I am allowed to geek off for this!!

Anyone got their Hobbit viewing planned already? 3D or 2D?

Im also looking forward to seeing the film ! I wish I had my friend's naivety & cheery, child like outlook tho, We're going out as a "gang", just down to the local(non 3d)cinema.We'll get our snacks & slurp our drinks & everyone will be excited & grinning,& fidgeting in their seats...But, it WILL be a good night out,Im not sure how I feel at mo,but when Im in that queue & shuffle to my seat,I know Il be gee-d up!(just not to many f**k ups,PLEASE, PJ)is all Im thinking.

One of my mates from work is now reading The Hobbit, having never read any Tolkien before - his only experience previous was TLOTR movies.

He's really enjoying the book, & will be a great barometer of novel v movie, as he will be fresh to both. I will report back once we've seen the film on his opinions of the adaption!

2D or 3D, It appears we do not have a choice in we want to watch it in the first weeks as they are only offering 3D viewing in uk cinemas to begin with, grrrrrrrrr!

I have just got my copy of the book back off the shelf to read one last time before the film is out!

Really, 3d only? That seems a bit harsh! There must be some cinemas out there with more options, I guess it'll be down to where you live and the screen options that are free. Hopefully...

Sure mine is doing 3d or 2d. Think I will go 2d first of all and if I like it then maybe try 3d.

Got root canal treatment on the 13th so have that day and the following (had to use up my holiday) off.... not sure which day to go!!!

Damn it!! Was trying yo build myself up to watching this and then saw a poster.... 13 dwarves all squashed in (does anyone remember the American Pie poster with them all squeezed in?) with Bombur in the middle stuffing his face.

It actually looked like a piss take movie... like Scary Movie or something along those lines.

Also seen a Gollum one which I think draws a lot of attention to a relatively minor character since he is in there all on his own. I suppose it is a major scene though so can half forgive that.

I think someone should set up an official review thread where we can drop spoilers in. Not fair on those that cant see it for a while (e.g. Mr Eagle!)

I will do it now as some people will be seeing it in the early hours of tomorrow morning
