Perhaps Beren. Also maybe the Hobbit isn't high on teen readers list. And they're the ones most likely to be voting in this poll. Bummer though.

Run the poll again in six months, after Harry Potter releases, then we'll see if twilight still reins.
I think that many confuse 'applicability' with 'allegory'; but the one resides in the freedom of the reader, and the other in the purposed domination of the author.
