I hope you're feeling better now GB.

I like your Dwarf Wizard drawing. He looks a bit disreputable, though perhaps it's just the hair :P , but he looks cool.

Come to think of it, your Dwarf Wizard looks somewhat Rasputinable!

Thanks guys  . He does look like Rasputin, doesn't he :P . Well, I definitely envisioned him as a cantankerous character  .

I love your sketches and doodles Aule  . Your complete pictures have great composition. And your full pictures and doodles together display some strong line-work and have a lot of character. You have a very distinctive style. I'd love to see some of those as Inks.

thanks for the compliments and ideas :) . I've got some inks in the loft, I'll fetch them down and have a experiment.

Tell you what, don't mess up what you've already penciled. If you can, make a copy or tracing of your original pencils and ink that.

First off, thanks to GB for suggesting. My first try with inks :). Not quite what you were expecting I think but its not the finished product (once I manage to get my hands on another pen & black ink I'll try a "calmer" colour scheme )

Just got them down a couple of hours ago and had a play around for 5 minuets (10 inches of snow outside, got soaking wet throwing snowballs with my mates, then didn't have much else). The things time does to inks, The indian black was oil with a black spot at the bottom, and the deep yellow was like blocks of water colour. Anyway heres the link to the updated photo album with the inks alongside the original sketches (not too sure if its a different URL). Not bad for five minuets work and 3 colours, if a bit oily.

Colour image1:Samurai sword (ok this looked better in my head )

Colour image2:Misty Mountains sunset (psychedelic)

Colour image3:Hobbit dwelling

Ps. Sorry the lines are a bit unclear, the pen was missing and the black had decomposed.

Wow! Nice instinctive colour schemes. I wasn't expecting that. I actually thought your style would work very well with some Bold, Clean, Black and White line work. Some of your images naturally seem to lend themselves to Thick lines for the basic shapes and thin for the detailing.

And some (particularly your landscape/sunset) lend themselves beautifully to a colourfully painted image. Definitely experiment some more  .
