Must look up this Ron Perlman chap!

Tinuviel, I actually think we're saying the same thing. (Which means we're progressing, I do believe!)

That's good Odo! Good indeed. And Ron Perlman played Hell Boy I guess. He's familiar with Del Torro

Thanks Tinuviel.

Sudden thought. How is 'Tinuviel' pronounced?

I was thinking about our scene where Beren calls Luthien 'Tinuviel.' How might it sound? What emotional impact might it's mere enunciation have on our audience? Tin oo vee el ... Beren calls it out. Will have to be very careful how that's done.

I'm pretty positive it's Ti noo vee el, with the accent on the second syllable.

Actually, I am occasionally an amateur philologist (with an emphasis on amateur ;) ). But I double-checked on several other websites and forums, and that seems to be the consensus.

By the way, I found a site called the Tolkien Forum which had a thread running last year called Beren and Luthien: The Movie :o ;) . It looks like we're not the first to have a whack at this :P  .

Your philological talents may yet be utilized, GB!

As to what other forums have tried to do in the past: check BEREN AND LUTHIEN (ADAPTATION) for my pithy response!
