Guys, I seriously think this is an April Fool's joke...Don't you think it's conspicuous that it was posted on April 1, 2009 at 12:01AM??

It wasn't 12:01 in Australia. But yes, I'm afraid you're probably right.
A shame really. Now, when I watch it, I will be thinking all the way through, "Rowan Atkinson could have done this better".

Well, it's still up in the air for the casting of Bilbo. Just because it was a prank doesn't mean it couldn't happen ;) . Atkinson could be in the running for all we know  .

I am not usually tempted to offer suggestions but that actor Michael Sheen who starred in FrostNixon and The Damned United is absolutely perfect and he comes over as a really nice bloke too. I don't know how to post images but the pictures of him in IMDB show lots of Hobbity looking ones - and he is an utterly brilliant actor.

I would like to throw the names of two actors into the pot for Bilbo . They are the English actors TOM PAYNE and BEN WILSHAW. Both have distinguished themselves in quality TV drama but are releativly unknown outside the UK. Therefor they come without baggage also they both have that other worldly "Hobbit" like look. Check em out!

I think Tom Payne looks like a real character ;) . I don't think he looks like a young Ian Holm, but he reminds me of Frodo when he's in a Ring Trance  ... So he could probably pull it off. I haven't seen anything with Tom in before, so I am just going entirely on looks   .
