Gollum is not a fan of the Rings films; not LotR, The Hobbit or any of them to come!

This unsurprising revelation held by at least one of Gollum’s split personalities, the other appearing to like them, comes in an interview with Andy Serkis at a recent public appearance.

Was the addition of female Elf Guard Tauriel a step too far in The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, considering she's not even a Tolkien character? (select one or more answers).
- If she adds something good to the story then yes, obviously.
