The LOTR movies may have LOOKED good but it Professor Tolkien's story. PERIOD!!!! Those "Tolkien purists" I keep hearing about who WANT Jackson to direct can't be any "Tolkien purist" of which I'm aware. LOTR, visually stunning but NOT the story, end of discussion. Argue all you want, if anyone wants a point by point list of how Jackson told his own story, then, you'll get it and take your lessons with vinegar. Peter Jackson was wrong, wrong, wrong. And the reason he's NOT doing The Hobbit has nothing to do with "settling" or anything else.
