Harry Sloan on The Hobbit Movies

by The Hobbit on December 18, 2007

MGM CEO Harry Sloan just said that as Jackson is in charge he may decide to direct it himself after all, if he cannot find someone suitable. Basically, its Jacksons project and he says what goes and what doesn’t.

He also gave a big indication as to why he and Bob Shaye were desperate to get Jackson on side when asked if there were any plans for any of the previous cast returning.

“Yeah, I think Peter stayed in touch. I think Peter’s been in touch over time with the other actors and is close with them and they’re close with him, so I think we’d be hopeful that some would reappear.”

It would be awful if Jackson does not direct this film. He is the only one that can do it justice.
