Sam Raimi Looks Set To Direct The Hobbit Movie

by The Hobbit on July 23, 2007

Sam Raimi has let it be known he will not be making Spiderman 4 as he “has to clear his head.” He has been linked to The Hobbit movie for a while but this is taken as a clear indicator that he has accepted the job. Peter Jackson, who directed the Lord Of The Rings Trilogy has been in dispute with New Line films (who own the rights to The Hobbit movie) over money made from the LOTR trilogy and is currently suing them.

Raimi left, huh? Well, he did a good job anyway. Not really into the Rings, I kind of zoned out during the second film and never zoned back in.
