Gandalf finally broke the silence surrounding the making of The Hobbit movie when his alter ego A.K.A. Ian McKellen is reported to have confirmed things are moving in the right direction at last.
The actor was in Singapore and being interviewed about the countries gay rights when the interviewer asked the following question:
“A film version of Tolkien’s “The Hobbit” has been stalled because of a dispute between “The Lord of the Rings” director Peter Jackson and film company New Line Cinema which holds the film rights to the book. Has there been any movement on the film development?”
To which he replied that he detected movement and it was movement in the right direction. He also said he would be seeing Peter Jackson regards The Hobbit movie when he visited New Zealand next month. He ended by saying he really hoped it would happen.
